The main difference between diamond and moissanite is that moissanite doesn't need to be heated to its melting point, so it's much more durable than diamonds. It also doesn't have the same optical distortion at higher temperatures as diamonds do—making it look like it has more sparkle, or shine. This material has a high refractive index and can be cut into any shape or size. Moissanite comes in many different shapes, but it's most commonly found in round or oval shapes.
